1.1. The C REWARDS prize program (hereinafter – Program) is a loyalty program for the users of the VISA payment cards issued by AS “Citadele banka” (hereinafter – Bank), i.e., basic and additional X smart, C smart, X supreme, Citadele supreme, X prime, C prime, C Infinite , X Infinite cards (hereinafter – Card), who are residents of the Republic of Estonia.
1.2. The Bank has the right to change the terms and conditions of the Program by publishing information thereon on the website www.xrewards.ee.
2. Participants to the Program
2.1. Users of the VISA payment cards issued by the Bank, i.e., basic and additional X smart, C smart, X supreme, Citadele supreme, X prime, C prime, C Infinite, X Infinite cards, who have registered to participate in the Program on www.xrewards.ee are eligible to become participants (hereinafter – Participant) to the Program.
2.2. Users of the Cards can register for the Program:
on the website www.xrewards.ee by selecting authentication via the Citadele online banking system;
in the C REWARDS section of the Citadele bank mobile app by authenticating via the app (Citadele online banking system);
in the C REWARDS section of the Citadele online banking system online.citadele.lv by authenticating with the access data of the online banking system.
2.3. Participation in the Program with the basic card does not imply the automatic participation of the additional card in the Program. The user of the additional card must register for the Program himself or herself on the website www.xrewards.ee in order to become the Participant.
2.4. A user of the Card who has attained at least 7 (seven) years of age is eligible to become the Participant to the Programme.
2.5. By registering and using the advantages of the Program, the Participant agrees to these terms and conditions and also to all changes that will be made therein. The current wording of the terms and conditions is available on the website www.xrewards.ee/ee_en/terms.
2.6. After registration, an individual X REWARDS account will be created for the Participant which will aggregate information on the points accumulated by the Participant and the available prizes (hereinafter – Account). Information on the advantages of the Program and the amount of accumulated points shall be available on www.xrewards.ee, mobile app of the Bank, and also Citadele online banking system online.citadele.lv
3. Collection of Points
3.1. Within the scope of these terms and conditions, a purchase is the acquisition of a good and/or service by paying with the Card through a POS terminal at a merchant or paying with the Card for online purchases. Points shall not be recorded for the purchases made at gambling sites, including online casinos, and for transactions that are considered to be money transactions (e.g. acquisition of virtual currency, buying of currency, Quasi cash, etc.), and also for topping up own account/subaccount balances in payment and other financial institutions.
3.2. For every 1 full euro spent in each purchase made with the X prime, C prime X supreme, Citadele supreme card issued by the Bank, the Participant shall receive 1 (one) C REWARDS point. Example: If the Participant has made five purchases with the aforementioned card issued by the Bank in the amount of EUR 3.49, EUR 17.90, EUR 6.21, EUR 28.34, and EUR 4.57, then he or she shall receive 58 C REWARDS points (for the full euros spent in each purchase without applying the mathematical principle of rounding to the purchase amount).
3.3. For every 1 full euro spent in each purchase made with the C Infinite, X Infinite card issued by the Bank, the Participant shall receive 2 (two) C REWARDS points. Example: If the Participant has made five purchases with the aforementioned card issued by the Bank in the amount of EUR 3.49, EUR 17.90, EUR 6.21, EUR 28.34, and EUR 4.57, then he or she shall receive 116 C REWARDS points (for the full euros spent in each purchase without applying the mathematical principle of rounding to the purchase amount).
3.4. For every 2 full euros spent in each purchase made with the C smart, X smart card issued by the Bank, the Participant aged from 7 (seven) to 21 (twenty-one) (including) shall receive 1 (one) C REWARDS point. Example: If the Participant has made five purchases with the C smart, X smart card in the amount of EUR 3.49, EUR 17.90, EUR 6.21, EUR 28.34, and EUR 4.57, he or she shall receive 28 C REWARDS points (for every 2 (two) full euros spent in each purchase without applying the mathematical principle of rounding to the purchase amount).
3.5. For the purchases made and euros spent with the C smart, X smart card issued by the Bank by the Participant aged 22 and older, C REWARDS points shall not be received, but such Participant may participate in C REWARDS challenges and, upon fulfilling the requirements specified by the Bank for an C REWARDS challenge, receive C REWARDS points or other prizes within the scope of the Program in accordance with the terms and conditions of the relevant C REWARDS challenge. Further information on C REWARDS challenges is provided in Paragraph 5 of these terms and conditions.
3.6. The Bank is entitled to, during a period determined thereby, award additional C REWARDS points to the Participant for payments with a certain type of the Card at specific partners of the Program (hereinafter – Partners) and/or if the Participant fulfils the rules of the campaign organised by the Bank which provide for the awarding of additional C REWARDS points. Up-to-date information on the possibilities to receive additional X REWARDS points is available on www.xrewards.ee.
3.7. Points for purchases with all Cards issued in the name of the Participant shall be summed up. Points for purchases with the basic and additional card which are linked to one account shall not be summed up, but recorded in separate Accounts of the Card user (Participant).
For example, if an Citadele supreme basic cards and C prime basic card has been issued to the Participant in his or her name, Points for purchases with both Cards shall be summed up in the Account of the Participant. However, if the Participant has also an additional card linked to his or her Citadele supreme account, Points for purchases with the additional card shall not be recorded in the Account of the Participant – user of the basic cards, instead they shall be recorded in the Account of the Participant – user of the additional cards.
3.8. The Participant may not gift, transfer or otherwise give the Points accumulated by him or her to another person, including, another Participant, unless the Bank has provided otherwise.
3.9. Points shall be added to the Account of the Participant on the date when the amount of money for the purchase made is debited (withheld) from the Cards account.
3.10. The period for the accumulation of Points is not determined.
3.11. The Points shall be valid for 24 months from the day when they are transferred in the Account of the Participant except when the circumstances provided for the terms and conditions of the Program that are considered as grounds for the early deletion of accumulated Points set in. The Points which the Participant has not exchanged for prizes within a period of 24 months shall be deleted.
3.12. The maximum amount of Points which one Participant can accumulate is not limited.
3.13. If the Card of the Participant is being closed or no purchases are made therewithin within a period of 12 months and the Participant does not have another Card, all accumulated and unused Points shall be deleted. If one Card of the Participant is being closed or no purchase has been made within 12-months’ period with one Card, but he or she has another Card, Points for purchases made with the Card which is being closed or inactive shall be retained.
4. Use of Points
4.1. The accumulated Points can be exchanged for prizes on the website of the Program www.xrewards.ee
4.2. Respective prizes can be claimed by using the accumulated Points as soon as the amount of Points required for claiming the respective prize or service has been reached in the Account of the Participant.
4.3. Points can be used by selecting prizes on the website www.xrewards.ee and exchanging them for goods, services or discounts provided by Partners (hereinafter – Prizes). When selecting a Prize, the Participant acknowledges that he or she has become acquainted with and has no objections against the conditions for the receipt of the Prize.
4.4. If the Participant has indicated his or her telephone number or e-mail address to which he or she wishes to receive confirmation of the redemption of Points for the Prize at the moment of ordering the Prize, the Bank shall send a confirmation message thereto. The Participant can also review the history of transactions made within the scope of the Program in his or her Account.
4.5. From the moment when the Participant has selected a Prize and has confirmed his or her choice, the requested Prize cannot be withdrawn and/or changed unless the confirmation e-mail or SMS provides otherwise.
4.6. Availability of Prizes may depend on their availability in the stocks of the Partners or other conditions stipulated by the Partner. A Prize cannot be combined with other offers or special services unless specified otherwise. The ability of a minor to use the Prize can depend on the terms and conditions approved by the Partner for the provision of services and applicable provisions of legal acts. Additional information on the availability of Prizes and special conditions is available on www.xrewards.ee and can also be requested from the respective Partner.
4.7. If the Prize selected by the Participant cannot be provided for any reason, the Bank shall offer the Participant to choose a Prize of equivalent value from the range of the Program instead of the Prize chosen by the Participant.
4.8. The range of Prizes may change. Changes in the range, description, and price of Prizes, and also in the amount of necessary Points shall be made on the C REWARDS website www.xrewards.ee without prior notification. Therefore, the information on Prizes provided in the advertising materials of the Program, included, printed brochures, has only informational value, and Prizes are available to the Participant only according to the range available on the website www.xrewards.ee at the moment when a Prize is selected and approved on this site.
4.9. Points cannot be exchanged for cash.
4.10. The Points which are exchanged for a Prize shall be permanently deleted from the amount of accrued Points.
5. C REWARDS challenges
5.1. C REWARDS challenges are customised, or non-customised task created by the Bank for the Participant. If the Participant has fulfilled the requirements of an C REWARDS challenge determined by the Bank, C REWARDS points or other prizes shall be awarded to the Participant in accordance with the terms and conditions of the respective C REWARDS challenge.
5.2. The Bank has the right to, at its discretion, determine the terms and conditions of the C REWARD challenge, including, the prizes for the performance of the challenge task (C REWARDS points and amount thereof or other Prizes from Partners), and the Bank shall also, at its discretion, determine the frequency at which the C REWARDS challenges shall be organised and specify the Cards or their users to which the respective C REWARDS challenge shall apply.
5.3. The Bank shall notify of the current C REWARDS challenge and terms and conditions of the C REWARDS (including, of the start and end date of the performance of the challenge task, other rules related to the challenge, for example, the deadline for exchanging the Prize from the Partner) to such Participant who meets the criteria specified by the Bank for the receipt of the respective task of the C REWARDS challenge. Participation of the Participant in the performance of the task of the C REWARDS challenge is voluntary.
5.4. If the Bank has provided in the terms and condition of the C REWARDS challenge that the Participant is entitled to receive a specific Prize (good, service or discount) from the Partner for the performance of the challenge task, then the availability of such Prizes may depend on their availability in the stocks of Partners or other conditions stipulated by the Partner. A Prize cannot be combined with other offers or special services unless specified otherwise. The Prize cannot be exchanged in the Bank or by the Partner against cash. The ability of a minor to use the Prize can depend on the terms and conditions approved by the Partner for the provision of services and applicable provisions of legal acts. Additional information on the availability of Prizes and special conditions will be available in the notification of the Bank referred to in Paragraph 5.3 of these terms and conditions on the current C REWARDS challenge and terms and conditions of the C REWARDS challenge and can also be requested from the relevant Partner.
5.5. If the relevant Partner cannot ensure the Prize specified by the Bank for any reason, the Bank shall offer a Prize of equivalent value from the range of the Program instead of the Prize previously specified by the Bank.
6. Termination of Participation
6.1. The Bank has the right to delete all Points accumulated by the Participant, to not issue Prizes and to exclude the Participant from further participation in the Program if the Participant undertakes any fraudulent or illegal activities with the Card, including for the accumulation of Points, performance of the C REWARDS challenge tasks and/or receipt of the Prize.
7. Other Provisions
7.1. The Participant to the Program shall automatically participate in the lotteries of goods and services organised by the Bank if the Bank organises such and the Participant meets the criteria for the participants of the relevant lottery which are provided by the Bank in the rules of the lottery. Information on the current lotteries organised by the Bank that relates to the Participants to the Program, and also rules of the relevant lottery, lottery permit number, including, information on the procedures of the lottery and conditions for participations, prize fund, start and end date of the lottery, shall be available on www.xrewards.ee.
7.2. The Participant is aware that the Bank processes personal data of the Participant in order to record Points for purchases made with the Card or acquired by the Participant participating in C REWARDS challenges or other campaigns organised by the Bank, to inform the Participant on a regular basis of the amount of accumulated Points, available Prizes, C REWARDS challenges and other campaigns organised by the Bank by sending such information through an SMS, e-mail or push notification, to organise the receipt of a Prize, to verify the conformity of Participants to the criteria for participation in the lottery organised by the Bank and to organise the lottery, including, to determine the winners and to organise the receipt of prizes, and the Bank also processes personal data of the Participant in order to create customised or non-customised tasks for the C REWARDS challenge and to organise the process of C REWARDS challenges by providing that the rights of a person are exercised in accordance with the Privacy Protection Rules approved by the Bank which are available on the website of the Bank.
7.3. If the final recipient of a Prize is a third party, the Participant shall be responsible for the transfer of the personal data of such third party to the Partner in accordance with the applicable requirements of legal acts (e.g., to provide the information necessary for taking out a magazine subscription – the given name, surname, telephone number, and address of the recipient), and in such case the Bank can also process the personal data of such third party in order to organise the receipt of a Prize by providing that the rights of a person are exercised in accordance with the Privacy Protection Rules approved by the Bank which are available on the website of the Bank, and the Participant shall be responsible for informing the relevant third party of the possible processing of its personal data.
7.4. The Bank is not responsible for the performance, quality and/or content of the Prize(s). Where necessary, the Participant must address such complaints to the Partner.
7.5 The Bank has the right to unilaterally amend and/or supplement the terms and conditions of the Program without prior notice to the Participant. The Bank shall inform Participants of any amendments or additions to the terms and conditions of the Program by publishing such amendments or additions on the website www.xrewards.ee, and they shall become binding on the Participant from the day of the publication of the new wording. The Participant has an obligation to independently acquaint himself or herself with the terms and conditions of the Programs and to follow the changes.
7.6. The Bank has the right to unilaterally terminate and close the Program by informing Participants thereof 2 (two) months in advance on the website www.xrewards.ee. In such case, the Participant can use the accumulated Points during the period until the closure of the Program or until another time limit specified by the Bank if this period is longer than the aforementioned 2 (two) months.
7.7. In cases of force majeure, the Bank has the right to unilaterally suspend the Program, the accumulation of Points and their exchange for Prizes, including, to suspend C REWARDS challenges, until the moment when the effects of force majeure have ceased to exist by publishing the relevant information on the online banking system of the Bank and/or website www.xrewards.ee as soon as it is possible.
7.8. Any disagreement, claim or dispute between the Bank and the Participant arising from the Program will be resolved in accordance with the procures specified in the agreement for the issuing of the Card.

7.10. Clause 3.5 of the rules of the C REWARDS program will enter into force on January 1, 2024. Until December 31, 2023, for every full 2 euros spent on each purchase made with the X smart card issued by the Bank, the Participants aged 22 (twenty-two) years and older receive 1 (one) C REWARDS point.
